Universal Welding Power Sources

Idealarc DC–400; Idealarc DC–600 — these products have proven themselves
in extremely rough conditions, both climatic and vibration.

They work reliably 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Recommended wire feeders are:

LN–7, LN–7GMA, LN–9, LN–9GMA, LN–10, DH–10, LN–23P, LN–25, NA–3, NA–5.

Idealarc DC–655 — this unit is designed for complex welding jobs requiring a high degree of energy efficiency.

  • The power source is 82% efficient and as a result, consumes less power.
  • Electric power savings are achieved also with the aid of the standby mode:
if the power source has not been used for a set amount of time,
    it automatically powers down.

Recommended wire feeders are

LN–7, LN–7GMA, LN–9, LN–9GMA, LN–10, DH–10, NA–3, NA–5.

Idealarc DC–1000 — this model is recommended for various kinds of welding processes: semi–automatic welding with solid or flux–cored wire and automatic submerged arc welding.

To obtain 2000 amperes of combined current at 100% load, a parallel connection between two power sources is established.

Recommended wire feeders are:

  • for semi–automatic welding — LN–7, LN–8 и LN–9;
  • for automatic welding — NA–3, NA–5 и NA–5R, as well as self–propelled (tractor) weld heads LT–56 и LT–7.

Idealarc DC–1500; Idealarc AC–1200 — both power sources are intended for round the clock operation.

A combination of these two power supplies is employed in multi–arc welding: the first arc is powered by the DC–1500, and the rest are handled by the AC–1200.

To obtain 3000 amperes of combined current at 100% load, parallel connection of two DC–1500 power sources is established.

The DC–1500 is recommended for use with the NA–3 and NA–5 automatic welding heads, as well as with the LT–56 and LT–7 self–propelled mechanized wire feeders.

Idealarc AC–1200 — this is a CC power source intended for automatic AC submerged arc welding. It can work in tandem with the leading DC type power supplies, including the DC–655, DC–1000 and DC–1500.

The power supply provides for a high degree of stability and reliability during the welding process and was designed to work with the NA–4 automatic head.

In addition, the AC–1200 can be used with the NA–4S4, NA–3444 welding heads as well as with the LT–56 and LT–6S6 self–propelled mechanized wire feeders.

It is also possible to combine two AC–1200's to work in a Scott connection.

Invertec V350–PRO — this is the most powerful, reliable
and sturdy inverter power supply with a wide range of applications.

  • Advanced control system permits easy switching among various welding modes.
  • A wide range of characteristics for controlling parameters
with various welding processes (stick electrodes, TIG, MIG,
flux–cored wire or submerged arc welding).
  • Digital display, convenient design, and power economy combine with light weight (35 kg total) to make this unit ideal for work on pipeline rights–of–way, as well as in any field applications.

The recommended wire feeders are:
LN–7GMA, LN–742, LN–23P, LN–10, DH–10, Cobramatic
(for aluminium welding) and LN–25 portable.

A wide range of accessories is available.

Waveform Controlled Power Sources

Invertec STT II — this is a welding power source intended for STT technology welding with various consumables, including solid and flux-cored wire, as well as welding mild and stainless steels, nickel alloys
and silicon bronze.

  • Welding is performed with shielding gas (CO2 and various mixtures).
  • The unit is designed for semi–automatic and automatic welding with welding heads and manipulators.
  • The use of STT technology lowers the requirements for joint assembly and aids easy weld repair.
  • The system provides for independent control of the current and the wire feed rate.
The arc start control guarantees no defects in the beginning of each pass.

Power Wave 455/STT — a synergistic welding system.

The Power Wave 455/STT programmable power source is the most versatile power source available today.
It allows the welder to work with Stick, TIG, MIG, STT, Pulsed MIG, and Flux–Cored processes.

  • The unit's control system allows for setting the desired waveform and voltage (from basic CV to pulse) imitating any other power source and welding processes.
  • A readily available library of software modules enable the welder to indicate the type of welding, material and its thickness so that the system is able to set welding parameters automatically.
  • In STT mode, the upper limit of the welding current is 325A, in all others,
it is 570A. The welder, operating one power source, can make use of all the advantages of the STT process (including welding the root pass) and then perform the fill and cap passes using a traditional welding procedure with solid or flux–cored wire.
  • The synergistic control system enables the welder to weld with wire, setting only the feed speed. To control the welding parameters precisely,
a potentiometer would be used in this setting.

  • The ability to set welding current and voltage values remains.
  • All welding parameters may be blocked so that the operator can make changes only within
    a pre–determined range.
  • The unit is modular in construction. Adding extra modules, such as memory for two welding procedures and
a control panel for STT and pulse welding, only takes five minutes and the use of a single screwdriver.
